Q. How much will I need to invest?
A. The estimated cost of a Dave's The Dog House™ franchise will be between $175,000 and $275,000 utilizing an end-cap/in-line of approximately 1200 square feet.

Q. What does the Multi-unit Franchise Agreement include?
A. Owning and operating a Dave's The Dog House™ restaurant, use of the brand name, trademarks, recipes, operating systems, methods and décor. Additionally, we provide:

• Facility planning, site location and architectural design assistance
• Specifications for fixtures, equipment and leasehold improvements
• Multi-unit Franchise Program Project Management
• Assistance in site selection and lease negotiation
• Free design of marketing materials for print, radio, web and TV spots
• ON site corporate training for Owner/Operator and Director of Operations/ General Managers
• Ongoing support from members of the Training and Operating Team
• New product offerings that complement our core markets
• Corporate Brands serviced by local suppliers of goods and services
• Web based operating manuals, policies, procedures and employee training systems

Q. Who designs my store(s)?
A. Dave's The Dog House™ will provide the Multi-unit Franchisee with a complete set of prototypical drawings, architectural assistance and specifications.

Q. Who will supply me with my architectural drawings?
A. Dave's The Dog House™ will assist you in selecting a local architect familiar with the codes in you area.

Q. Who builds my store(s)?
A. Dave's The Dog House™ uses only local contractors who are familiar with local market conditions.

Q. Do I have to negotiate with the contractors?
A. Our Project Manager, under the Dave's The Dog House™ Multi-unit Agreement, will assist the franchisee with all negotiations with construction contractors and other construction suppliers and will assist in the supervision and management of the construction of the facility. The Project Manager will handle all phases of your restaurant development from the time the contracts are signed until your restaurant is completed.

Q. How much is the franchise fee for a Dave's The Dog House™ Restaurant?
A. $20,000 per store location. Multi unit operators commit to five stores in a Protected Territory to be opened over a five year period.

Q. How much are the on-going royalties?
A. 4.5% of total gross sales less tax.

Q. Is it possible to own only one Dave's The Dog House™?
A. Dave's The Dog House™ only seeks multi-unit franchisees who enter into Agreements to develop multiple locations. Single ownership may be considered under special circumstances. Please contact us for more information.

Q. Are my trading areas exclusive?
A. Yes.

Q. How is the site selected for my store?
A. Dave's The Dog House™ has a Real Estate Department which will provide assistance in the site procurement process including negotiation with the retail space owners.

Q. Is there any experience necessary to own a Dave's The Dog House™?
A. Yes, but not necessarily in foodservice. Dave's The Dog House™ actively searches for candidates with a strong background in business management.

Q. Do I need to be involved in the day-to-day operations of my franchise?
A. No, a designated manager must be involved on a full-time basis and must be responsible for the day-to-day operations. The Multi-unit Franchisee does not need to be the General Manager of its own store, but Dave's The Dog House™ must approve the General Manager chosen by the Franchisee.

Q. Does Dave's The Dog House™ provide financing?
A. We may offer direct financing for qualified Multi-unit Franchisee operators through our affiliate companies. You are not required to use our financing. Other sources include: SBA, conventional financing sources, leasing companies and real estate developers.

Q. How will I know if I have the necessary finances?
A. Your completed Financial statement will be evaluated by our finance department. A Dave's The Dog House™ Senior Manager will let you know how your financial status fits within our profile and, if needed, what your financing options might be.

Q. How long is the term of a Dave's The Dog House™ franchise agreement?
A. The franchise term is ten (10) years. This is renewable pursuant to your Multi-Unit Agreement.
